As the Vice President of Shenzhen Nanshan Hospital, Beirong Mo has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field of nursing, making a significant impact on the management of trauma patients in China. Her innovative approach has resulted in the optimization and establishment of over 30 trauma nursing processes and pathways, as well as the development and implementation of 15 advanced international trauma nursing technologies. Ms. Mo's collaboration with the University of Southern California Medical Center in the United States has been instrumental in training 40 nursing professionals with an international outlook and a high degree of professionalism. This partnership has significantly enhanced the capacity and capability of trauma care at Shenzhen Nanshan Hospital, leading to a remarkable reduction in the mortality rate of patients with severe trauma from 40% in 2016 to 13% in 2023. As a result, the hospital has been recognized as a municipal outstanding trauma care facility in Shenzhen, China. In addition to her achievements in trauma care, Ms. Mo has also made significant contributions to the field of geriatric care. In 2020, she developed a novel service model tailored to community-dwelling older adults with physical disabilities and cognitive impairments. This model has not only improved the health and extended the lives of its recipients but has also effectively reduced hospital readmission rates, saving medical resources, increasing patient access to care, and alleviating the burden on society and families. Ms. Mo holds an associate professorship from Shenzhen University and serves as a postgraduate tutor at Nanchang University, further demonstrating her commitment to education and the advancement of nursing practices.
