Dr. Amy Lee is a Clinical Professor and the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at The The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing. Dr. Lee is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience and expertise in women’s health. From 2002 until 2018, Dr. Lee worked at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in both the inpatient and outpatient settings with a primary job assignment to support the education of the gynecology/obstetric residents while also holding a joint appointment with the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. In 2018, Dr. Lee joined the faculty of The Capstone College of Nursing at The University of Alabama where she has served as the DNP Program Coordinator and the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs. Dr. Lee’s clinical practice and education interests focus on family planning, gynecology, emergency gynecology, intimate partner violence, and maternal-child healthcare disparities. She has received national and international recognition for her work in these areas. Dr. Lee received her BSN from the Capstone College of Nursing at the University of Alabama, her MS as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and her DNP from Chatham University.
