Amanda Quintana is a Senior Project and DEI Director and Coactive Coach for the Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence. Dr. Quintana has been an RN since 1989 and has worked in both acute and ambulatory care settings. She worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner from 1999-2008 and then focused her career on nursing academia and leadership. In her current position, she leads the HRSA Nursing Workforce Diversity Project and has successfully implemented a robust mentoring program for diverse and underrepresented prelicensure nursing students and has trained nearly 1,500 nurse leaders, faculty, and students on bias, inclusivity, and equity across multiple states. In collaboration with the National League for Nursing, she has also led the Holistic Admissions Initiative for a total of nine Colorado and New Mexico nursing programs. Dr. Quintana is an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI ®) Qualified Administrator and a Professional Coach who actively advocates for health equity. She is an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, American Nurses Association, Colorado Organization of Nurse Leaders, and STTI - Alpha Kappa at Large. Dr. Quintana holds a DNP from the University of Colorado Anschutz Campus and an MSN and BSN from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
