Dr. Emerson Ea is Clinical Professor and Associate Dean for Clinical and Adjunct Faculty Affairs at New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Dr. Ea is a health equity scholar, a curricular innovator, and a community leader in the Filipino American community. He is Co-investigator for the Community Engagement Core of the Rutgers-NYU NIH P50 Center for Asian Health Promotion and Equity (CAHPE) focused on addressing health inequities in the Asian American Pacific Islander communities in New York and New Jersey. He is a Health and Aging Policy Fellow for 2022-2023, and serves as the chair of Kalusugan Coalition, a community-based organization that aims to enhance the health and well-being of Filipino Americans in the NY/NJ area. He has led/co-led curricular innovation initiatives at NYU Meyers that include the integration of Design Thinking in the undergraduate curriculum. Dr. Ea received his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Case Western Reserve University and PhD from Duquesne University.
