Kimberly S. Glassman, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, EAONL, FAAN, is a Clinical Professor and the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, where she oversees academic programs and clinical partnerships to advance the commitment to developing nurses who are global leaders. She led the college’s COVID-19 task force, advising the dean and the university on policy, academic and clinical practice issues. Dr. Glassman was the senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at NYU Langone Health for the past 10 years. Dr. Glassman functioned as the clinical leader of emergency management for the NYU Langone Hospital from 2008-2012, where she led the evacuation of hundreds of patients during both Hurricanes Irene and Sandy. Dr. Glassman’s experience in disaster nursing has placed her in leadership roles advising local, regional and federal agencies. She currently serves the Academy as chair of the Expert Panel on Building Healthcare Systems Excellence.
