Zhang Yaqing is currently professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Nursing, Director of Editorial Department of Journal of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Medical Science), and Director of Nursing Management Research Center of China Hospital Development Institute in Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

With an remarkable nursing education, management and research career spanning over 30 years, Dr. Zhang have proposed and implemented a renewed 4-year BSN program (originally 5 years). After that, She advanced a series of “PBL-situational-simulation-MOOCS-SPOC” teaching reforms to better Chinese nursing education. As the first MOOC developer in the field of nursing in China, She made no small contribution to the large-scale online open courses (MOOC) of nursing education for the improving of public health literacy level. Since 2010, as the director of nursing discipline in SJTU, She led the team to won the 5th and 6th place in two rounds of national discipline evaluations. As the first doctoral supervisor of Nursing Management in our university, She has led National Social Science and other Shanghai government funded research projects. She has been devoted to the research of improving nursing innovation and occupational stress among newly graduated nurses and has dedicated her wisdom and strength for the development of nursing profession in China.

Dr. Zhang completed her Bachelor of Medicine at Shanghai Second Medical University, and Bachelor of Higher Education at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. She later earned her PhD in Management Science and Engineering from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
