Lisa Roberts is a Professor and the Research Director at Loma Linda University School of Nursing, with a secondary appointment in the School of Behavioral Health, Loma Linda University, California. Additionally, she has been named a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Dr. Roberts’ research addresses mental health, including maternal coping with perinatal grief after stillbirth and infant death, as well as anxiety and depression resulting from other losses related to gender discrimination and lack of agency. She has collaborated with other researchers on a number of other studies as well. A common thread in her research is a translational, interdisciplinary, and community-based approach, addressing health disparities and vulnerable populations. Her clinical focus is primary care and prevention in family practice. An experienced academician, she has taught nursing students internationally in addition to her teaching in the U.S. She is committed to educating the next generation of scientists, academics, and health professionals.

Dr. Roberts completed her BSN at Regents College, University of the State of New York, and her MSN (Family Nurse Practitioner Program) at Western University of Health Sciences. She later earned her DrPH at Loma Linda University School of Public Health.
