Zheng Li is a Professor and Dean at the School of Nursing Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China.

Dr. Li has contributed to the contemporary development of professional nursing education in the People’s Republic of China in remarkable ways. She is the earliest one of few nurses with baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees in Chinese history. Dr. Li brings a standard of excellence to Chinese nursing, including reforming bachelor nursing program, developing master’s and doctoral nursing programs and continuing education projects which have introduced advanced nursing knowledge and practice. Dr. Li is also an excellent nursing researcher. Her research in chronic and mental health has been reported internationally and contributed to changes in how patients with chronic illness are treated. Dr. Li works voluntary as Vice President of the Chinese Nursing Association, the only national professional nurses’ organization in China. Dr. Li is trying her best to bring Chinese nursing to the international platform, by actively joining ICN activities, organizing the one belt one road initiate nursing conference in Beijing, and pushing bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the United States and other countries.

Dr. Li received her BSN from Peking Union Medical College, MSN from Chiang Mai University, Thailand and PhD from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
