With an exceptional pediatric nursing career spanning more than 35 years, Dr. Chiang established a Facebook fans as “nursing scientist”, to dissemination the knowledge about the evidence-based nursing and the contribution of nurses in Taiwan and internationally. Dr. Chiang promotes the nursing research, evidence-based nursing through the policymaking, campaign, and educational program in several nursing-related organizations. As the pediatric nurse, Dr. Chiang promotes the health and quality of life among the children with asthma and their families by knowledge translation from series studies’ findings into practice policy, initiates the Taiwan Asthma Council, and encourages patient education in asthma clinics, and providing continuing education for health care providing nationally. During the past 30 years, Dr. Chiang published more than 120 articles national and internationally, and over 65 national and international conferences. Otherwise, Dr. Chiang have several contributions to nursing society: 1. As the chief-of-editor of The Journal of Nursing Research (JNR), prompted it indexed as Science citation index (SCI) by WOS (Web of Science), Dr. Chiang increase the quality and rigour of the articles published in JNR. 2. As the president of Lambda-Beta Chapter-at-large promote the international interaction for members in Taiwan. 3. As the liaison person for Taiwan in the International Family Nursing Association (IFNA), Dr. Chiang promote family nursing in Taiwan through the family nursing teaching, studies, and international cooperation.

Dr. Chiang received a BSN and MSN from National Defense Medical Center, and PhD from the School of Health Education, National Taiwan Normal University.
