Kelly J Brassil is the Director of Medical Affairs for Pack Health and a Lead Care Manager at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Brassil’s career in oncology nursing is highlighted by contributions to research, focused in supportive care, and clinical practice, focused in immunotherapy. Dr. Brassil co-authors national practice guidelines for the management of immunotherapy toxicities, in addition to leading the development of two journal supplements on immunotherapy and chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy. She was invited to serve as a co-editor for the first edition of the Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy-Immunotherapy Guidelines and Recommendations for Clinical Practice. She has participated in workgroups, interviews, continuing education development, and as an invited book chapter author and speaker on immunotherapy. Her research contributions include both national and international studies resulting in peer-reviewed publications. She serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed nursing and interprofessional publications. Dr. Brassil has also contributed to the dissemination of research and clinical practice, chairing and co-chairing several conferences both locally and internationally. Her volunteer contributions include serving as a grant and abstract reviewer for several organizations including the Council for Advancement of Nursing Science.
Dr. Brassil received a BASW from The Catholic University of America, MSN from Yale School of Nursing, MAR from Yale Divinity School and PhD from The University of Texas Health Science Center Houston Cizik School of Nursing.
