Dr. Amy Anderson is a registered nurse and an assistant professor in the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas Christian University and assistant professor and Health Policy & Advocacy Lead in the School of Medicine at TCU and the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Dr. Anderson is a former International Council of Nurses Global Nurse Leadership Institute Policy Program Fellow and founder of Global Nurse Consultants Alliance. Her clinical background is in the operating room where she received enhanced training in infection control, cardiac surgery, infertility treatment, orthopedics, and neurosurgery. She has worked as a school nurse in Texas and served the community as a Health and Safety Coordinator for a school district in Arkansas.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Anderson has worked with medical and policy experts advising the National Coronavirus Recovery Commission on COVID-19. Amy is an inaugural member of a Global Think Tank Town Hall convened by the Think Tanks & Civil Societies Program of the Lauder Institute at University of Pennsylvania to develop “action-oriented” recommendations for policymakers and health professionals during the public health crisis. Her Op-Eds on COVID-19 have been featured on Fox Business, The Daily Signal, Real Clear Health, Newsday and Tribune line.

Dr. Anderson is a Visiting Fellow at The Heritage Foundation.
